Nite of Hope, Richmond
For 11 years, Bare Basics has been a proud sponsor of the Nite of Hope. This event has one purpose: to raise funds in support of research to eradicate breast cancer. Started in a living room with a small group of women, this event has grown into an evening that sells over 450 tickets annually and has raised over $1.5 million. From contributing to the exciting fashion show to being members of the board, Bare Basics is passionate about sponsoring this amazing and powerful night. We know that with continued funding and support, the need for mastectomy bras and prosthetics will soon be a thing of the past.

Cinderella Project
The Cinderella Project was created to give every girl the fairy-tale day she deserves. This special event celebrates students who have overcome adversity and challenges to reach the important milestone of graduation. On Boutique Day, 170 young women fill a ballroom to be outfitted from head to toe in graduation attire. Bare Basics fit specialists work with each young lady to give her the royal treatment. Each graduate is fit and then gifted the perfect undergarment to complement her special dress.
“The Cinderella Project was such an awesome experience, I can't even begin to describe how I felt when I first walked into the ballroom. It was filled with positive energy and smiles, I remember feeling extremely happy for days after that. It really was like a fairy tale. I think it goes beyond giving you what you need for prom or grad, it’s the support you get from people there when you need it the most, it’s being treated as an equal no matter what your situation is, it’s forgetting about your problems even if it’s just for the faintest moment. The Cinderella Project– it’s feeling like a million bucks. I think it’s just amazing to open your eyes and realize that there are people who actually care about something other than themselves, people who donate whatever they can to make things better for others. Like my fairy godmother, she was the sweetest woman ever, I could really tell she cared… when I found The Dress, my dress, her whole face shifted, and when it was time to say goodbye, both of us were on the verge of tears. Now I can walk across the stage looking like a princess, in my lovely blue gown, feeling happy and confident. I’m just so thankful for everything, I think everyone should get a chance to have a dream prom, it’s a great thing what you did for me, and I will be forever grateful :D”
